In support of Princeton University's education and research mission, the University has a limited number of opportunities for high school students to participate in supervised educational research experiences with Princeton faculty.. NJ State Law requires that all high school laboratory research experiences need to be clearly identified as educational programs, not work, and meet the New Jersey Department of Labor standards of an educational program in science. Minors between the ages 16 and 18 may not be hired to work in laboratories as Princeton University employees. Princeton University does not permit minors under the age of 16 to participate in educational research experiences. The full Princeton University policy governing Rules and Procedures For Minors in Research Facilities is available on the Program Resources for Minors on Campus website.
