Emergency Action Plans

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires emergency action planning in all workplaces. Each department is responsible for the development and implementation of a written EAP covering the facilities and operations under their control. EHS had developed a model Emergency Action Plan and maintains a repository of established plans for each building on campus. EHS is also available to help establish plans when new buildings are commissioned or when departments move from building to building.

For more information about emergency action planning in general, see the Emergency Action Planning page of the Emergency Management website.

Also on this website is information about your building's emergency coordinator and designated assembly area.
