Sustainability

Princeton University proudly earned an AASHE Silver STARS rating for its efforts in sustainability. The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System™ (STARS) is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.  The report is available on the AASHE website.

Princeton EHS supports the University's sustainability mission and goals and strives to inspire the University community to be good stewards of our environmental resources.   A number of references are available, including:

  • Green Labs provides information for waste minimization and energy and resource conservation in laboratories.
  • Waste Management outlines recycling opportunities and recommends best management practices for unneeded computers, electronics, empty chemical containers, construction debris, lighting, and batteries.
