Event Description

The spring 2024 installment of EHS' Sa[Fest] series of lab safety events highlights sustainable practices in the lab. It will feature a talk from John Pickering of behavioral sciences firm Evidn, who is working with EHS and the Office of Sustainability to implement practices around more efficient use of fume hoods.

The event will also have information on the Green Lab Recognition Program, a certification program to recognize excellence and raise awareness for sustainable adjustments in operations, procurement and waste management.

There will be snacks, giveaways and informative displays. Create a keepsake conversation piece with air plants and recycled glassware, and enter for a chance to win a cutting of Einstein's Begonia. Other campus partners will share information about campus energy and sustainability in University operations beyond the laboratory.

The event takes place in the atrium of Icahn Laboratory overlooking Poe Field from 2:30-5 p.m. The talk from Evidn will take place in classroom 101 located adjacent to the atrium from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
