Sue Dupre first joined Princeton University in 1978 as a radiation safety officer. At the time, she was one of five individuals overseeing the use of radiation on campus.
In the course of her long career, she's seen many changes in how radiation is used at the University, as well as important safety advances impacting the use of radioactive material in laboratory research.
Sue retires in June, 2017 from her position as Assistant Director, Radiation Safety in the office of Environmental Health & Safety. In this video, she talks about radiation safety and how working with radiation has changed since the 1970s.
