Princeton faculty, staff and students interested in flying sUAS, including drones and model airplanes, can now access training on the Employee Learning Center.
The eLearning course, “sUAS Training For Operators at Princeton,” includes information on how to request permission to fly at Princeton, safety and operational guidelines, University policies, FAA requirements and restrictions (including how to check for temporary flight bans affecting our area), and preferred locations for flights on campus.
The course is viewable by going to Environmental Health & Safety under the "Training By Department" tab. Click "eLearning" at the top and look for "sUAS Training For Operators at Princeton" in the General Safety section.
The University has a comprehensive policy governing use of drones and other sUAS for research, coursework or recreational purposes on campus. Learn more about flying drones at Princeton on the Princeton sUAS website or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
