Nov. 15, 2021 EHS is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2021-22 with special events, stories and a custom website dedicated to marking a half century of safety at Princeton. The Office of Occupational Health and Safety was formally instituted on Sept. 30, 1971, putting radiation safety, industrial hygiene and general campus safety operations under one roof. The founding of OHS, which changed its name to Environmental Health and Safety in 1997, brought campus-wide safety initiatives into the modern era. Our 50th Anniversaray Website contains a wealth of materials to mark this important milestone for our office: A graphical timeline outlining signature events in our history. Staff profiles showcasing our team of safety experts. Special events and promotions. A new podcast, EHS Stories, exploring some of the fascinating people, projects and incidents we have been involved with in the course of our history. Be sure to check out the website and look for updated announcements as we mark our anniversary.
