Safe + Sound Week, a nationwide event held each summer to recognize the successes of workplace health and safety programs, returns Aug. 12-18.

For Safe + Sound 2019, the Princeton University Office of Environmental Health and Safety will be fanning out across campus looking for employees following safe practices, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and using signage and tools properly. If we "catch you in the act" of being safe, you'll receive a You've Been Caught card, redeemable for fun prizes from the EHS Safety Store (login and unique card number required).

Take 10 For Safety

In addition to our You're Been Caught promotion, EHS is also encouraging Princeton employees to "Take 10 For Safety" by offering a useful checklist that can easily be completed in 10 minutes or less. No matter your role at Princeton, this list offers important information to ensure you are proactive and mindful when it comes to following safe practices.

Safe + Sound Week is an initiative of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The nationwide event raises awareness and understanding of the value of safety and health programs in the workplace. The focus of the week is on three core principles: Find and Fix Hazards, Worker Participation and Management Leadership.
