Mail Handling Policy

University employees with bulk mail handling responsibilities are required to participate in Mail Handling Training through Environmental Health and Safety and are expected to follow the general precautions for handling mail established by the Emergency Preparedness Team.

Bulk mail handling includes work with mail in bins, bags or other bulk containers, picked up or received either directly from the US Post Office or through the Campus Mail office, and distributing mail to an entire department or a number of offices.
