Occupational Health

Occupational Health, also known as Industrial Hygiene, is a discipline that focuses on minimizing the risk of exposure to hazardous substances in the work place. This is accomplished through anticipating, recognizing, evaluating, controlling, and preventing health hazards that may affect workers and others members of the University community.

The Occupational Health Group provides various industrial hygiene services to the University community, including chemical and biological exposure assessments, indoor air quality investigations, respirator evaluations and fit tests, noise surveys, and administration of the Lead and Asbestos programs.
