Bloodborne Pathogens

Employees whose jobs may require handling of human blood and body fluids have the potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.  Princeton University's Bloodborne Pathogen program provides access to controls, training and free Hepatitis B immunization for those employees who are potentially exposed.

If you work in a research laboratory and handle human blood, body fluids or cell lines, go to Human Source Materials under Biological Safety for information on how to prevent exposure in the laboratory setting.
